Play. Learn. Grow
Stepping up into our bright and airy baby room is like stepping into a tranquil, peaceful sanctuary. Soft music is played in the background to stimulate your baby’s senses and transition their varied activities. Your baby will be held and spoken to in gentle tones that awaken your child’s language acquisition skills and build self-awareness.
The most important goal of our early childhood curriculum is to help children become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and to think their own thoughts. Our goal is to help children become independent, self-confident, and inquisitive learners. We are teaching them how to learn, not just in preschool, but all through their lives. We are allowing them to learn at their own pace and in the ways that are best for them. We are modeling good habits and attitudes, and particularly a positive sense of themselves, which will make a difference throughout their lives.
Our typical day consists of an interactive circle time including calandar, math skills, days of the week, months of the year, the weather and our morning songs. We then proceed to our themed lessons, which include a fun project, and fine motor skills exercises. Social development and imaginative play are also woven into our day through our exciting and developmentally appropriate learning centers within the class rooms.
Our children then enjoy their morning snack and weather permitting we go out to play.
After stretching our gross motor muscles it is now time to stretch our imaginations and problem solving skills. Each child is encouraged to succeed at their own pace… there is plenty of time built into our day to address each child’s individual learning style.
The Pre-K class consists of a daily activities that enhance the cognitive and developmental growth that will assist the children with getting ready for Kindergarten. Each day the Pre-K children will experience an interactive circle time including calendar, math skills, days of the week, months of the year, the weather and a touch of Spanish and Sign Language. The children will then incorporate our themed lesson into instruction, art and socialization time within the classroom. Social development and imaginative play are also woven into our day through our exciting and developmentally appropriate learning centers within the classroom. After stretching our gross motor muscles it is now time to stretch our imaginations and problem solving skills. An interactive and exciting follow up lesson is planned to compliment our morning themed lesson. Story time, music, and movement help to round out our busy day. We guarantee that by the end of the school year, our Pre-K children have the necessary knowledge to become a successful kindergarten student!
